SUPER 8 CAMERA RENTAL AGREEMENT


This Rental Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Stephanie Baker Photography, d/b/a The Good Time Club (“Company,” “we,” “us”) and the individual renting the equipment (“Renter,” “you”).
By checking the box “I agree to the terms and conditions” during checkout, the Renter agrees to the terms outlined below.


Equipment Included

The rental package may include the following items (“Equipment”): a vintage Super 8 camera, film cartridges in the quantity selected at booking, a video light, AA batteries, protective case and packaging, and instructional materials. The Renter acknowledges receipt of the Equipment in good working condition unless otherwise noted.


Rental Period

The rental period begins when the Equipment is delivered to the Renter and ends when the Equipment is shipped back using the provided return label. All Equipment must be shipped back on the first business day following the event or rental end date unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Failure to return the Equipment on time may result in a late fee of $50 per day.


Responsibility for Equipment; Damage and Non-Return

The Renter acknowledges that the Super 8 camera and included equipment are vintage items and agrees to take reasonable care of them at all times. The Renter is responsible for the Equipment from delivery until it is returned and scanned by the carrier using the provided return shipping label. If the Equipment is returned late, incomplete, or damaged beyond normal cosmetic wear, the Renter authorizes The Good Time Club to charge the payment method on file $650 to cover repair or replacement costs. If the Equipment is lost, stolen, or not returned, the Renter agrees to be responsible for the full replacement cost of $650. Mechanical damage, water damage, impact damage, missing components, or damage caused by improper handling or failure to follow provided instructions is not considered normal wear. The Good Time Club will notify the Renter prior to charging for repair or replacement costs.


Use of Equipment

The Renter assumes full responsibility for the care, use, and return of all Equipment during the rental period. The Renter agrees to use the Equipment only for its intended purpose, follow all provided instructions, and protect the Equipment from damage, moisture, extreme temperatures, or misuse. The Equipment may be used by guests or third parties at the Renter’s discretion; however, the Renter remains fully responsible for any loss or damage caused by such use.


What Is Considered Damage

Damage includes, but is not limited to, failure to power on, lens damage or obstruction, jammed or broken zoom or focus mechanisms, water damage, missing or damaged accessories, improper handling of film, or internal mechanical failure. Normal cosmetic wear consistent with careful use is expected and will not result in a charge.


Film and Medium Disclaimer

Super 8 film is an analog medium and inherently unpredictable. Variations in exposure, focus, grain, color, light leaks, framing, and camera behavior are normal and part of the medium’s character. These qualities are not considered defects and do not constitute grounds for refunds, reshoots, or disputes.


User Error and Operation Disclaimer

The Renter understands that the quality of the resulting footage depends on how the Equipment is operated. The Good Time Club provides instructional videos, written guides, and tips to support successful use; however, the Company is not responsible for footage that is blurry, underexposed, overexposed, incomplete, poorly framed, or otherwise impacted by user error, failure to follow instructions, environmental conditions, guest interference, or creative choices made by those operating the Equipment. No refunds, reshoots, or adjustments will be provided due to operational mistakes or creative outcomes. The Renter acknowledges that these variables are an inherent part of the Super 8 process and experience-based nature of this service.


Processing and Delivery

Once the Equipment is returned, film will be processed and digitized. Estimated delivery time is four to six weeks from the date the Equipment is received. Delivery timelines may vary due to lab processing times, shipping delays, or circumstances beyond the Company’s control.


Limitation of Liability

The Good Time Club is not responsible for missed moments, incomplete coverage, or the actions of individuals operating the Equipment. This service is a rental experience and not professional videography coverage. The Renter understands and accepts the intentionally imperfect, documentary nature of Super 8 film.


Cancellation and Refund Policy

Because The Good Time Club reserves a limited number of cameras for specific event dates, cancellations impact our ability to rebook equipment.
* Cancellations made more than 6 weeks before the event date will receive a full refund.
* Cancellations made within 6 weeks of the event date will receive a 50% refund of the rental fee.
* Cancellations made within 14 days of the event date or after the Equipment has shipped are non-refundable.


Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.


Agreement Acknowledgment
By checking the “I agree to the terms and conditions” box, the Renter confirms that they are at least 18 years old, have read, understood, and agree to all terms of this Agreement. T


his Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes any prior discussions or communications.

Cancellations made more than 6 weeks before your event: Full refund.

Within 6 weeks of your event: 50% refund.

Within 14 days or after shipping: no refunds.
